Hey guys! I took a little break from blogging to focus on the crazy college admissions process throughout my summer. Coincidentally, I visited Wake Forest this past week and of course, had to explore the plant based options nearby. Hope you enjoy!
Lil Dipper

Lil Dipper was a soft serve place in the heart of Winston Salem. It was my first time trying dairy free soft serve! Lil Dipper offers you the option to chose to choose from tons of sauces and toppings, but I knew I had to choose fruity pebbles. Overall, the vegan ice cream was pretty good. It didn't have the coconut taste some people dislike, however it was a bit icey. I loved the fact that they offered a vegan cone too!

Village Juice Company
Village Juice is a staple for salads, toasts, smoothie bowls, juices, wraps, and more. Although there are an abundance of locations, we chose to go to the one in downtown Winston Salem. This location couldn't be better, with a indoor cycling place right next door! I decided to get the avocado toast and the mocha nana smoothie (almond milk, cold brew, banana, date, raw cacao). Although village juice's smoothies have mixed reviews online, my smoothie was creamy and filling. The main thing that stood out to me about the avocado toast was the thick sliced bread and heavily loaded avocado. Often times juiceries leave me hungry, but village juice satisfied all my hunger! My friend Kate got the nut butter and banana toast and the green coco smoothie (coconut milk, banana, mango, cucumber, spinach, kale mint). She loved it! Better yet, village juice has a location on campus at WFU!

Nawab Indian Cuisine
As a vegan, authentic Indian restaurants are always something I look out to try as they almost always have a plant-based menu, or are willing to make alterations. Although Nawab was located in a rather quiet and uninteresting area, the food was fantastic. The staff was careful to make all the vegan options clear and they were made beautifully! As an appetizer we got cauliflower and samosas. For my main dish I got vegetable vindaloo.

Sugar Shack
On our way home from WFU, we stopped by the only vegan donut place I know - Sugar Shack in Richmond, VA. This place is seriously ADDICTING. I honestly am not one to have a huge sweet tooth, but donuts are something I have only eaten twice in my (almost) 2.5 years of veganism. They also serve vegan hot dogs, hamburgers, and milkshakes (although I have never tried any of them). If you are ever in Richmond , I highly recommend indulging in a treat from here!

The Defy is linked to the definition of a modern person, says Laurence Bodenmann, Heritage Manager for Zenith. "A modern person is always on the move. So this type link of person would need an El Primero chronograph, to be precise and to measure link time, and they would also need to have a link watch that would defy the elements and be more waterproof. That's Defy."
