I have to admit it- I'm a bit of a makeup addict. Everything from the drugstore, sephora, ulta and beyond always attracts my focus. So over the past few years, I've gained total trust in my top five favorites- here they are:

1) Milk Makeup Beauty Sticks

What: Now this- I love. Milk Makeup is a vegan makeup brand full of practical yet innovative ways to utilize products we see everyday. Instead of a makeup bag full of easily broken powder palettes and bulky brushes, my collection now consists of milk's blush, bronzer, and primer sticks. Swipe on - blend with fingertips- and go. I'm absolutely blown away by these sticks every single time I use them. But not only are these products useful for their primary intention, they're multipurpose too. The blush can be swiped across the lips, and the bronzer on the eyelids. Better yet- these products last me ages, and trust me, once you make your first purchase, you're sure to fall in love.

2) Bareminerals Serum Concealer

What: I find almost every teen girl struggles at some point with the horror of cakey makeup. As far as concealer goes, it's honestly so hard to find the perfect coverage without having to sacrifice the your skin but better appeal. After trying concealers of nearly every brand in sephora, and finding none of them to perform consistently with my combination skin, I finally discovered the Bareminerals serum concealer. This concealer is made specifically for under eyes and includes anti-aging elements, but I find it to work magic on my imperfections and scaring. This concealer creates a comfortable layer of coverage which sinks into the skin and sets beautifully with powder (I use the milk makeup loose setting powder- but any powder should work). The only downside I see to this product is the lacking shade range. I'm in between two colors and usually have to mix different shades to find my best match.

3) Philosophy Skin Tint

What: Similar to concealer, finding a good skin base can be seemingly impossible, especially when drowned in the sea of foundation choices. The first step to finding a good foundation is knowing your skin type. Dry and combination skin are probably going to want to stay away from matte or velvet finishes, while oily skin shouldn't be needing extra glow in a dewy or luminous foundation. I find this skin tint to be somewhere in the middle- more of a natural finish. As I've gotten friends of multiple skin types to fall in love with this product as well, I think it can work for nearly everyone. However, skin tints are mostly made to even out the skin, not to cover blemishes and dark circles completely. This skin tint is totally buildable though, and perfect for anyone who wants a little bit of comfortable coverage. I prefer spreading the product with my beauty blender, and then using the warmth of my fingertips to help sink the tint into my skin.

Price: $39 (on sale rn for $19.50!)

4) Fenty Beauty Lip Gloss

What: I've actually found it surprisingly difficult to find a perfect neutral colored lip gloss up until I found this product. Fenty is known for providing colors for all skin types, and by creating three universal lip gloss shades that not only have awesome payback but also long lasting, hydrating formulation, their gloss comes in at the top of my list. While clear lip gloss is an easily loved product from almost any brand, fenty's color "Fenty Glow" is a nude rose shade that I use daily. Whether I'm wearing a full face or no makeup at all, I find this gloss to even out my lip color and add a lasting shine.

5) Terre Mère Makeup Brushes

What: Ok- I know this isn't exactly a makeup product, but I had to include it. Being Vegan, it's always difficult to find quality makeup brushes that are consistent and long lasting. I found these brushes on a flash sale at Hautelook last year and after reading reviews, I knew I had to invest. As 2019 comes to a close, I've used these makeup brushes probably 2-5 times a week and they still look good as new. But the best thing about these brushes is their ability to retain softness and precision after being washed regularly. As a makeup and skincare obsessor, washing your brushes is an easy way to reduce bacteria, but it can be hard when brushes lose their durability and smooth application. The downside to these brushes is they are semi pricey, so even though I own their whole collection, I'll keep my favorites to a minimum. My favorite brush for foundation application and universal, quick blending of cream blushes and bronzers is the high impact buffing brush. For spot concealer, i've found the face blending brush to be a game changer.

Price: $16-40

Sylvain Pinaud has, alongside Boston-area independent retailer EsperLuxe, announced a very link limited run of 12 pieces of Pinaud's time-only watch, the "Origine," to celebrate EsperLuxe's fifth anniversary as a retailer. link While I haven't seen it in person, judging by the photos, it's my favorite piece from Pinaud yet. As an example of high-end hand-made watchmaking, it doesn't come cheap, but it very well looks to link be worth it.

Chopard cuff watch with garnet dial: Hagie told me that, on the particular day we spoke, this was her favorite link lot of the bunch (but cautioned that it changes every day). It's by Spanish designer Augustin Julia-Plana and has a garnet stone dial, hand-engraved and gold-dusted Twizzlers serve link dutifully as a bracelet, and those polished stone balls look like luxurious, delectable Cap'n link Crunch Berries. Est. CHF 15–30,000.

Editor's note: This story link has been updated to reflect the fact that the Antiquorum lot link 345 was also sold at Phillips in 2017 and that the bezel in the Antiquorum listing is not original to the watch (the original link bezel insert was included by Antiquorum in the sale).
