Everyone who knows Emma Chamberlain knows her obsession with coffee, so when she released her new brand, Chamberlain Coffee, people have been going crazy about it. For my birthday this past week my friend Ellie, knowing me too well, got me this coffee and I immediately knew I had to do a review on it. Is it worth it?
The Coffee
Prep

The night before I wanted to review this product, I filled a large mason jar up to a little over four cups. Now Chamberlain Coffee is supposedly different from other brands because it comes in tea bag like packaging which can be steeped without hot water. For each cup, one bag is required. So after placing four bags into my water and popping the jar into the fridge, I was good to go.
Taste
After removing the coffee from the fridge the next morning, I tried Emma's coffee two ways. Over the past few years, I've gone back and forth between black coffee and coffee with a couple tablespoons of non- dairy milk. When black, I was a little worried the coffee would be watery or weak since it wasn't steeped into hot water, but in reality, the coffee was strong and, as it claims, medium roast. The undertones of this coffee claim to be cherry and nuts which I wasn't expecting to fully sense, but i actually was surprised by how much the flavor came through. I actually found myself enjoying the coffee much better black than with oat milk!
Price and Dupes
Although the taste and ideas behind Chamberlain Coffee were beyond my expectations, after doing further research, I found cold brew steep bags are more popular than I thought. Emma Charges $2 per 8oz of coffee- so here is the cheapest alternative:
1) Organic Chameleon Cold Brew Coffee Pods- $1.03 per 8oz
If you're up for an adventure and link something a bit "dustier," Buttery also recommends Antique Watch Co. in Clerkenwell. Stevens recommends the 101 Antique Arcade (also known as the Red Teapot) in link Portobello for link a good scavenger hunt, but it can be hit-and-miss. More on my beloved Portobello Market, below.
Love that you did a review on Chamberlain Coffee! Emma’s passion for coffee definitely shows in her brand, and I’ve been curious to try it myself. I’d be especially interested in seeing how their dark roast blend holds up—nothing beats a rich, bold cup! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on whether it’s worth the hype!
